They increase range of motion, help maintain bone density, can lower blood pressure, improve aerobic capacity and improve both balance control and sleep quality. They are excellent for people who wish to improve their health and vitality at any age. The lessons are very adaptable to people with varying levels of range of motion and balance. Many of the exercises can be done sitting in a chair or while using a chair back as an extra balance point.

I complete a thorough assessment of the student’s range of motion, balance, and health issues prior to beginning lessons. I will eliminate or modify any exercises for a student who cannot complete them in their traditional format. type='text'>About The Teacher

I have been practicing the internal arts of Liang Gong, Chi Kung and Tai Chi for 12 years. I studied under Xifu (Master) Jim Scott Beherends in the United States and Xifu Mai Quan Tri in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. In 2009 I completed my two year instructor's apprenticeship under Xifu Beherends while I was in active treatment for brain cancer. Tai Chi has been very important in my recovery from balance, health and cognitive issues associated with my treatments.

I graduated as Instructor of Internal Arts from The Nam Hua Temple of Internal Arts, Watsonville, CA. 2009. In 2000 I earned my California Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. It is current through 2010.

I teach healing internal practices including Liang Gong, Chi Kung and Tai Chi. A typical class includes breathing exercises, upper middle and lower body exercises and form practice. Clases may include standing meditations as well.

Tai Chi and Chi Kung increase range of motion, help maintain bone density, can lower blood pressure, improve aerobic capacity and improve both balance control and sleep quality. They are excellent for people who wish to improve their health and vitality at any age. The lessons are very adaptable to people with varying levels of range of motion and balance. Many of the exercises can be done sitting in a chair or while using a chair back as an extra balance point.

All students are given an assessment of their range of motion, balance, and health issues prior to beginning studies. Some of the exercises can be adapted to suit the needs of students who are more restricted. The instructor will eliminate or replace any exercises the class cannot complete.

Classes: Classes for multiple students are available for $10 per session per student
One-on-one teaching is available for $45 per hour.

Contact: Richard Harvey
Cell: 562-753-1114, Email info@lemons-to-lemonade.com
